9月27日,貴州茅臺受邀參加第八屆中金“中國特寫”倫敦論壇主題午餐會。茅臺集團董事長丁雄軍發表英文演講,闡述《茅臺的可持續價值創造》,回答了“茅臺是什么”“茅臺可持續性發展靠什么”兩個問題。
丁雄軍表示,茅臺堅持走國際化道路,就是要“追求美”,looking forward to Mei,把茅臺之美傳遞給世界。

可持續發展是企業追求的終極目標,可觀的價值創造是上市企業的發展責任。一直以來,我們始終尊重股東權益,坦誠回應股東關切問題,以可觀的真金白銀回饋股東,同時攜手各相關方,共同推動茅臺實現可持續發展,創造了豐厚價值。
Sustainable growth is a company’s ultimate goal, while valuecreation is a listed company’sresponsibility. We highly value our shareholderinterests by responding to their concerns and offering financial rewards.Meanwhile, we have been working with various stakeholders to ensure Moutai’ssustainable growth, and we have created great values.
今天,我以《茅臺的可持續價值創造》為題,和大家分享:
Today, I’d like to share some thoughts on Moutai’s SustainableValue Creation.
第一,茅臺是什么。我想用四個字,帶大家認識茅臺。一是“老”。茅臺始于秦漢、熟于唐宋、精于明清、盛于當代,從漢武大帝盛贊“甘美之”,到明清“秦商聚茅臺”,再到1915年巴拿馬智奪“金獎”,茅臺一步步走出貴州小鎮,接軌世界、名揚天下。二是“大”。茅臺核心產區面積約15.03平方千米,占地面積約10平方千米,有3萬多名員工致力于釀造美酒,產品銷往全球64個國家和地區。三是“強”。市值達3100億美元,年營收超180億美元,利潤近100億美元,均位列行業第一;核心產品貴州茅臺酒年銷售額超150億美元,是酒類第一大單品。今年,茅臺以497億美元的品牌價值,連續8次蟬聯BrandFinance“全球酒類品牌價值榜”第一。四是“優”。茅臺自然環境優越,獨特的“山水林土河微”構成了釀造茅臺酒的天然秘境。茅臺酒集“綠色食品”“有機食品”和“地理標志保護產品”三項認證于一身,入選中歐地理標志互認產品名錄,是中國白酒的品質標桿和領軍品牌。
To begin with, what is Moutai? Let me answer that with four words.The first word is “Old”. Moutai’s origins date back to the Qin and Handynasties. It matured and prospered through the Tang, Song, Ming, Qingdynasties, and won the Gold Medal at the Panama World Expo in 1915. From asmall town in Guizhou province, Moutai has made a name for itself in the world.The second word is “Big”. Moutai enjoys a core production area of 15.02square kilometres and, with over 30,000 dedicated employees, has grown to own arange of products that reach 64 countries and regions. The third word is “Strong”.With a market value of 310 billion US Dollars, an annual revenue exceeding 18billion US Dollars, and an annual profit reaching 10 billion US Dollars, Moutaiis the indisputable leader of the spirit industry. Our core product—KweichowMoutai—boasts annual sales of over 15 billion US Dollars, the largest liquorsales in the world. For eight consecutive years, Moutai has topped the BrandFinance’s Most Valuable Spirits Brands List with a brand value of 42.9 billionUS Dollars. The fourth word is “Superior”. Moutai is brewed in asuperior natural environment where mountains, waters, forests, earth, riversand microorganism all work together to create this magical liquor. Moutai iscertified as a “green product”, “organic product”, and “national protectedproduct of geographic indication”, which is on the product list of the EU-Chinageographical indications agreement.
第二,茅臺的可持續發展靠什么。經過70多年發展,茅臺形成了獨一無二的原產地保護、不可復制的微生物菌落群、傳承千年的獨特釀造工藝、長期貯存的優質基酒資源“四大核心勢能”,培育了品質、品牌、工法、環境、文化“五大核心競爭力”。近年來,我們以美學作為企業哲學,深入開展美學研究,探索出了一條以茅臺美學為價值內涵的“五線”高質量發展道路,鑄牢了茅臺可持續發展的基礎和能力,同時將ESG理念融入可持續發展過程,持續為環境、社會、相關方創造了豐厚的價值。
Let’s move on to the next question: What underpins Moutai’ssustainable growth? Over the past seven decades, Moutai has developed fouressential strengths and five core competitive edges. The fouressential strengths are: unique protection of place of origin; unreplicablemicrobial resources; a legacy of spirits-making techniques; and a top-rate baseliquor stored over ages. The five core competitive edges are quality, brand,craft, environment, and culture. In recent years, we started to take a pathof high-quality growth based on Moutai’s aesthetic features. This hasstrengthened Moutai’s sustainable growth. Meanwhile, we are integrating ESG principlesinto our sustainable growth in order to benefit the ecological system, society,and our stakeholders.
生態價值方面:茅臺堅持構建“山水林土河微”生命共同體,落實“雙碳”行動,每年投入超700萬美元用于赤水河生態保護,始終致力于保護好茅臺酒賴以生存的自然環境。
In terms of ecological values, Moutai has been investing inenvironmental conservation. We aim to nurture a natural community of “mountains, waters, forests, earth, rivers, andmicroorganism”. Each year, we invest over 7 million US Dollars in theconservation of the Chishui River, the natural cradle of Moutai. Meanwhile,Moutai is also implementing carbon reduction measures.
社會價值方面:茅臺堅持“大品牌大擔當”,前幾天,我們發布了最新中英文版的《2022年ESG報告》,還榮獲了“中國上市公司ESG百強”獎項。近五年來,累計公益捐贈超3.7億美元,成立茅臺公益基金會,投身青少年成長、老年人健康、全球醫療改善、文史文物保護、救災賑災等社會公益事業。
In terms of social values, Moutai undertakes itsresponsibility as an industry leader. Just a few days ago, Moutai released itslatest 2022 ESG Report in Chinese and English and made the ESG top 100 list ofChina’s listed companies. Moutai has donated more than 370 million US Dollarsto charity in the last 5 years. We have founded the Moutai Foundation, whichhas invested in various social causes, such as taking care of teenagers,improving the health of seniors,enhancing global medical conditions, protecting historical and cultural relics,and disaster rescue and relief.
相關方價值方面:茅臺堅持與供應商、經銷商、投資者、員工等相關方鑄牢利益、情感和命運共同體,建立經銷商“傳承人”機制和供應商“鏈長制”機制,幫助很多經銷商、供應商成長為行業佼佼者,上市22年來累計分紅超300億美元,創行業之最。
In terms of stakeholder values, Moutai is committed tobuilding a shared community of interests and cultivates deep bonds with all ofits stakeholders, including suppliers, distributors, investors, and employees.We have established mechanisms to support many of our retailers and suppliersto succeed and excel in their respective industries. In the 22 years since thelisting, we have distributed stock dividends exceeding30 billion US Dollars, the highest inthe sector.
茅臺是世界公認美的產品。茅臺的“美”,不僅是具象的“beauty”,給人物質感官滿足,也是抽象的“aesthetic”,給人精神情緒愉悅。我們堅持走國際化道路,就是要“追求美”,lookingforward to Mei,把茅臺之美傳遞給世界。當前,茅臺產品出口量約2000噸,銷往全球64個國家和地區。接下來,茅臺將堅持“釀造美好生活”的企業使命,堅定國際化戰略,走進更多國家和地區,不斷用茅臺美的產品和美的服務,滿足世界人民對美好生活的向往和期待,創造更加廣泛的美價值。
Moutai is globally recognised as aproduct of aestheticism. It satisfies the senses and elevates the spirit. As weset our eyes and hearts on the world, it is our vision to pursue aestheticismand to convey it to the world. Presently, Moutai’s export volume stands at 2000tonnes, reaching 64 countries and regions. Working towards the mission to “brewa good life”, Moutai is set to reach more people and places. We want to bringour beautiful products and services to more consumers, continue to create morevalue, and share Moutai’s aestheticism with the world.
