世界經(jīng)濟論壇主席施瓦布將參加2004中國經(jīng)濟高峰會

　　世界經(jīng)濟論壇主席克勞斯·施瓦布教授將參加第七屆科博會2004中國經(jīng)濟高峰會，將出席2004年5月21日下午在人民大會堂三樓小禮堂舉行的“科學(xué)發(fā)展觀、宏觀調(diào)控與中國經(jīng)濟可持續(xù)發(fā)展”主題報告會并發(fā)表主旨演講。

　　第七屆中國北京國際科技產(chǎn)業(yè)博覽會(簡稱科博會)是經(jīng)國務(wù)院批準(zhǔn)，由國家科技部、商務(wù)部、教育部、信息產(chǎn)業(yè)部、中國貿(mào)促會、國家知識產(chǎn)權(quán)局和北京市人民政府共同主辦的大型科技經(jīng)貿(mào)交流活動，將于2004年5月在北京隆重召開。2004中國經(jīng)濟高峰會由第七屆科博會組委會辦公室、中經(jīng)聯(lián)合經(jīng)濟研究中心(www.ChinaEconomicForum.org)與北京文網(wǎng)國際會展(www.WorldCN.com)及21世紀(jì)經(jīng)濟報道聯(lián)合舉辦，將于5月21日和22日在人民大會堂和中國大飯店召開。

　　Professor Klaus Schwab, Executive Chairman and founder

　　Qualifications

　　Swiss Federal Institute of Technology and the Universities of Fribourg and Harvard. Degrees include Doctorates in Mechanical Engineering and in Economics (summa cum laude).

　　Career

　　Taught business policy since 1969; Professor at the University of Geneva since 1972.

　　Author of several books, the yearly Global Competitiveness Report (since 1979) and many other publications.

　　Founded the World Economic Forum in 1971 as a not-for-profit foundation building itotnithe foremost global partnership of business, political, intellectual and other leaders of society committed to improving the state of the world.

　　Recipient of numerous academic and international and national honours for initiatives undertaken in the spirit of entrepreneurship in the global public interest and for peace and reconciliation efforts in several regions.

　　He and his wife Hilde founded The Schwab Foundation for Social Entrepreneurship

　　in 1998 as a non-profit organization to identify, disseminate and support the work of accomplished social entrepreneurs around the world.

　　In 2004, he was awarded the Dan David Prize for harnessing the organization and corporate leaders to foster peace and social responsibility.
